On January 2, 2023, Jay Vivrette achieved a lifelong dream of opening his very own auto repair shop here in Nolensville, TN. He has been part of the community and servicing vehicles for his friends and neighbors for over three decades. Jay moved to Nolensville in 1979 when he was a child, and he got his start in the auto repair business as a teenager when he began working at the shop behind his home–the exact spot where J & Company is now housed. He even met his wife, Stacy, in that same building. This was a hometown repair shop where Jay became part of the community and started his family.
In the years following, Jay grew more involved in his community and even achieved success while operating a few auto repair shops. As he believed strongly in supporting the town that offered him so much support over time, fate favored him when it came to opening an auto shop of his own. In August 2022, he was given the opportunity to reopen the shop formally known as Thomas Brothers – and everything fell into place just as planned.
The name of the business, J & Company Auto Repair, was chosen due to the strong belief that its success would not be possible without the invaluable support and relationships built in the auto repair industry over years. From vendors, suppliers, customers, coworkers, and friends, Jay and Stacy feel endlessly grateful for all those who have helped them achieve their dream. Therefore, they chose to honor these individuals, “the company they keep,” by naming their business after them – J & Company Auto Repair.
At J & Company, when they say they are family-owned and operated, they truly mean it. Stacy Vivrette, Jay’s wife, works at the shop, Jay’s daughter, Emily, is one of the service writers, and their son, Parker, is the parts advisor. And when you come to J & Company, Jay and his team will treat you as if you are one of the family as well! The Vivrette family has a rich history in Nolensville, TN, and with the opening of this shop, they’ve cemented themselves as a valued, essential part of the community. They are your hometown auto experts, and they’re waiting to help you with whatever you and your vehicle need!
Besides his passion for auto repair, Jay enjoys woodworking and has a shop at his home where he builds custom furniture pieces.
